As well as incorporating Oxford Cathedral, and numerous other historic buildings, Christ church has its own art gallery of paintings and drawings. The entire collection contains over 2000 works of art, but only a few are in the gallery at any one time. Individual works of art not in the gallery at one time can be viewed on request. The gallery specializes in art from between the 14th and 18th centuries. There are many old paintings that are anonymous. Among the named paintings is original work by Salvator Rosa and Filippino Lippi, as well as works by Van Dyck.

There is even work by great Artists like Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael.
